Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Connect the Coast ("CTC", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use connxct.club, CTC TV on the web and on Roku, CTC Radio, CTC Magazine, our newsletters, and our other services that link to this policy (the "Services"). It is part of our Terms of Use.
1. Information you give us
- Newsletter and membership: your email address, and, if you join or buy, the details you give our commerce provider. Payments are processed by Fourthwall and its payment processors; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Forms and submissions: what you enter when you submit an event, a music video, a podcast, a giveaway entry, a guestbook message, or a request to us, such as your name, stage name, email, phone number, social media handles, city, links, and the content itself.
- Creator signature records: when you sign the Creator Submission Agreement, we record your typed name, email, the agreement version and a fingerprint of its text, the date and time, your IP address, and your browser information, as proof of the agreement.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or social media.
2. Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics: which pages and features are used, the referring page, the general device type, and the country the request came from. We use Vercel Web Analytics and our own event log for this. Our own log does not store your IP address or name.
- Server and security logs: like every website, our hosting and content-delivery providers (including Vercel and Bunny) process your IP address, browser, device, and request details to deliver pages and video, prevent abuse, and keep the Services running.
- Cookies and local storage: a signed cookie that remembers your membership access for up to 30 days, and browser local storage that remembers things like which popups you have closed. We do not use advertising cookies.
- CTC TV on Roku: our Roku channel does not ask for or collect your name, email, or account details. When it loads programming, our servers and providers receive standard request information such as IP address and device type. Roku collects its own information under the Roku privacy policy, which we do not control.
3. How we use information
We use information to: provide, operate, and improve the Services; give members access; send newsletters and messages you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email); review, schedule, broadcast, and credit submitted content; run giveaways; understand how the Services are used; protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats; enforce our terms and agreements; and comply with law and legal process.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- with service providers that run the Services for us, under their own privacy terms, including Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (database), Bunny (video delivery), Fourthwall (store and memberships), Beehiiv (newsletters), Notion (content management), and Roku (the TV channel platform);
- across the CTC Network (CTC-operated properties such as CTC TV, CTC Radio, CTC Magazine, Str8laced No Chase, and trap.fyi), for the purposes in this policy;
- publicly, when it is part of content you submit for publication, such as your artist name, credits, and social handles;
- when we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of CTC, our users, or others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case it may be transferred to the new owner under this policy; and
- with your consent or at your direction.
5. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above: newsletter data until you unsubscribe and a reasonable period after; membership data while you are a member and as required for accounting; creator submissions and signature records for as long as we have rights in the content and as long afterward as needed to establish or defend legal claims; analytics and logs for a limited period. We may keep information longer where the law requires or allows.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information. You use the Services and send us information at your own risk. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact connectthecoast@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may give you the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; get a copy of it; ask us to correct or delete it; opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share it); and limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that require this). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Categories we collect: identifiers (such as name, email, IP address), commercial information (membership and purchase records held by Fourthwall), internet activity (usage analytics), general location (country), audio-visual content you submit, and inferences from usage. Sources and purposes are described above.
To make a request, email connectthecoast@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your request by confirming control of the email address involved, and respond within 45 days (or tell you if we need more time, as the law allows). An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. Some requests may be limited by law, for example when we need information to complete a transaction, protect against fraud, or defend legal claims, or where deleting it would affect content already licensed to us.
California "Shine the Light": we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for these signals to opt you out of; we do not otherwise respond to Do Not Track signals.
9. Other locations
The Services are operated in the United States and intended for users there. If you use them from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
10. Third-party services
The Services link to and rely on third parties (including Fourthwall, Roku, YouTube, Instagram, and Beehiiv). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The new version applies from the effective date shown at the top. If a change is material, we will give notice on the Services or by email where appropriate.
