The Village Wall: A Story Approved
CTC|
In the quiet Village of Arroyo Grande, a decision has been made. The Arroyo Grande City Council approves local bookstore's mural, marking a moment for local expression. This was not a unanimous or simple vote, reflecting the precise nature of public art's place in the 805 corridor. The outcome, however, solidifies a new visual narrative for a beloved local establishment, Monarch Books, an essential hub in San Luis Obispo County.
The proposed mural, featuring the simple yet profound question, "What's your story?", sparked a calculated debate among city leaders. Taneesha Regez, owner of Monarch Books on East Branch Street, championed the design.
